Kevin Riley – Founder

Kevin has always been interested in discovering and supporting emerging musicians. In 2008, he moved from the vibrant music hub of Brooklyn, NY to Boulder, CO, and once arrived, he found he missed the kind of DIY music scene he had valued in the City. In response, Kevin launched a concert series called Backforty Presents that sought to bring independent and emerging artists to perform in intimate, community-focused settings. Over the course of two years, Backforty held scores of concerts and featured performers such as Gregory Alan Isakov, Nathaniel Rateliff, Dewi Sant and many, many more. Through this experience Kevin realized that too many talented artists and bands lacked the management needed to elevate their careers. This important insight led to him founding Sookreem Management in 2011. Kevin has experience in publishing, management, events and sales.
